Why we built Flamingo Flow
Most local service businesses do excellent work that no one online ever sees. The customer is happy at the end of the job, the technician moves on to the next call, and the review never gets asked for. Six months later the business is still getting one or two reviews a month, the competition is climbing past them on Google Maps, and the cost per lead from paid ads keeps going up because the profile has no trust signals to back the click.
We built Flamingo Flow because we saw the same pattern across every local trade. The fix is simple in theory and impossible to maintain by hand: ask every customer, the same way, at the right time, every time, forever. That last word is what software is for.
What we actually do
- Capture every paying customer from your booking system, dispatch software, or POS - whatever you already use.
- Send a personalized review request by SMS within the conversion window for your industry (2-4 hours for most trades, longer for medical).
- Follow up with a soft nudge by email if no response. Stop after the second attempt.
- Route private feedback away from the public review form so customers with concerns have a non-public channel without blocking the public review.
- Respond to every review, positive and negative, within 24 hours.
- Report monthly on review velocity, average rating, and Map Pack position changes.
How Flamingo Flow started
Flamingo Flow started after watching local business owners burn marketing budgets on ads while their Google profiles slowly fell behind on reviews. The first version was a manual SMS pipeline run for a handful of clients in Ontario. When the same playbook worked across moving companies, cleaning crews, dental practices, and contractors, the system became a product.
