Methodology
How Flamingo Flow Generates Google Reviews: The 5-Step System
A transparent breakdown of the exact methodology used across 600+ local businesses. No gating, no incentives, no purchased reviews. Just a personal ask to every customer, every time.
Flamingo Flow connects to the CRM, booking software or customer list a business already has, so every past and new customer is asked. Each customer gets a personal text with a photo of the owner or a team member holding a sign with the customer's name on it, and a direct link to the business's Google profile. Requests go out automatically in small daily batches, followed by gentle reminders: the business chooses how many reminders go out, or none at all. Every review gets an automatic reply in the business's own voice, learned from its past replies. A dashboard shows the searches the business appears for, where it ranks on each one and where its competitors stand.
Step 1: Connect the customer list
We connect to what the business already uses: its CRM, its booking software or a plain customer list. Past customers and new customers are both included, so the ask reaches everyone the business has served, not only the ones someone remembers.
- No new tools for the team to learn. Staff do not log in to anything.
- Once the CRM is connected, new customers are asked automatically.
- Setup happens on one 15-minute call, and the account is live by the end of it.
Step 2: Send a personal photo request
Each customer gets a text with a photo of the owner or a team member holding a sign with the customer's name on it, and a direct link to the business's Google profile. Each doctor, stylist or team member gets their own photo, so the request comes from a person the customer recognises.
- The business supplies one photo per person: holding up a blank board or sheet of paper
- The customer's name is on the sign and in the message
- The link goes straight to the business's Google profile - no Maps search, no profile hunting
- The wording of the message can be changed at any time
- For dental, medical and RMT clinics, the text asks for a Google review and never mentions treatment
Step 3: Send in small daily batches, with reminders you control
Requests go out automatically in small batches every day, so reviews come in steadily, not all at once. Past customers are asked a few at a time. New customers are asked after their visit or job.
- Each customer gets one request, then gentle reminders if they have not responded
- The business chooses how many reminders go out, or none at all
- The right moment to ask differs by trade, and each industry page below covers its own
Step 4: Reply to every review automatically
Every new review gets a reply, positive or negative. Replies are written automatically in the business's own voice, which the system learns from the replies the business has already posted. The owner does not have to write anything.
- Future customers read the response, not just the review
- No review sits unanswered, however busy the week is
Step 5: Track rankings in the dashboard
Each business gets its own account with an analytics dashboard. It shows:
- The searches the business shows up for
- How many people search each one every month
- Where the business ranks on each search
- Where its competitors stand on the same searches
Team photos, the CRM connection and the message can be changed in the account at any time, and a dedicated account manager answers questions.
Compliance principles
The methodology operates inside three policy frameworks at all times.
No gating, no incentives, no fakes
Every customer gets the same request and the same public review link. Filtering customers by satisfaction before showing the link is review gating, which Google's policy prohibits. No discounts, gift cards, or rewards in exchange for reviews. No purchased reviews, no AI-generated reviews, no fake accounts.
HIPAA and PIPEDA/PHIPA aware
For dental, medical, and RMT clinics, no protected health information appears in any SMS, email, or public response. Business Associate Agreements available for US clinics.
Consent under CASL and the TCPA
Requests go only to a business's own customers. Under our Terms of Service, the business confirms it has each customer's consent to be messaged: express or implied consent under CASL in Canada, and prior express consent under the TCPA in the United States. Opt-out language in every outbound message. Suppression lists honoured immediately.
Industry pages
The five steps are the same for every business. The timing of the ask and the wording of the message change by trade, and each trade has its own page:
